If
you’ve ever volunteered at an event or
simply took the opportunity to help
someone, you know that “feel good” feeling
you get when you’re done. It’s a sense of real
accomplishment. There’s a lot to be said for
the connection between volunteering and
your mental health. So, what better way for
students to spend time off this summer?
We’re here to help! We’ve compiled a
list of local organizations with volunteer
opportunities for teenagers and college
students alike. Don’t forget, community
service always looks great on a resume, and
it helps to build well-rounded young men
and women.
Even if you don’t choose one of these
options, get creative and find a way to help
others this summer. Whether you’re setting
aside time to spend time with a grandparent
twice a week, or tutoring a younger
student in your youth group at church, the
possibilities are endless.
So, what are you waiting for? Pick a place
you’d like to volunteer and do something
meaningful this summer!
