The first annual JAMFEST is just two months away .
Jacksonville State University will host the arts and music festival on campus May 20 .
“ I really want to show off what Northeast Alabama has to offer ,” explained Seth Johnson , Head of JSU ’ s Department of Art .
The festival is intentionally scheduled for the Saturday before the 2017 Cheaha Challenge Granfondo . More than one-thousand bicyclists will be in Jacksonville , AL for the race , many hoping to qualify for the Gran Fondo World Championships in Albi , France .
Johnson says he ’ s thrilled for the opportunity to show all of these visitors the city of Jacksonville and the talent in our area .
