“I’m in a position where, I’m not the greatest musician in the world, but I can make
music that I think is heartfelt, music good
enough to be heard,” said Kent.
“I want one that works one on one with
veterans,” he said. “I want it to go straight
to boots on the ground.”
Kent is still in the process of choosing a
charity organization to receive the funding, explaining that he’s very particular
about how directly veterans will be aided
by the money. Once the album recoups
the cost of recording, he plans to go from
60/40 to 100/0, and the money has to
be used effectively. Some organizations
operate at a strategic, big-picture level
