throughout the day. A new artist with a
new style of music will fire up every hour on
the hour from 11:00am to 6:00pm, with the
sweet sounds wrapping up a little before
the start of the Sunny King Criterium Pro
Men’s race at 7:00p. Rest your feet, enjoy
some shade, and take in the sweet sounds
of some of the area’s best musicians.
What are the kids’ bike and running
races?
So popular…so fun! The Mellow Mushroom
Mad Dash running race for kids is an
exciting, one-lap trot around the threequarters of a mile bike race course, with
a super awesome finish before fans! The
Mellow Mushroom Mad Dash starts at
4:50p. Kids from tricycle-age to Grade 6 will
pedal their bikes a few hundred yards, and
cross the “big kids” Finish Line of the Sunny
King Criterium course in front of thousands
of cheering fans. The Scion/YMCA Kidz Bike
Race will start at 5:20p. Have your cameras
ready, and get ready to post and tweet!
There is a fee to participate in each race
(and a discount if kids race both); register
at Classic on Noble on Saturday, March
28, from noon to 4:00p. T-shirts for every
participant (while supplies last)!
Is this a family event?
The 2015 Noble Street Festival is FREE to
attend! Many of the activities for kids are
free, including art activities and projects,
performances on the Scion KidZone stage
and more! Some kids’ attractions, such as
rides, bouncy houses, face painting, and
balloons do require tickets, which can be
purchased from one of four designated
Noble Bank ticket tents. Cheering on the
cyclists from around the world at the Sunny
King Criterium is free…as is listening to live
performances from area musicians in the
Music Café.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are allowed; in fact, we will have an
area in the KidZone benefiting the Humane
Society, however, they MUST be kept on a
leash at all times! The cyclists speed around
the race course at very high rates of speed,
and a runaway dog in the road would be
very dangerous. Thanks for keeping your
best friend close to you at your side! ✻
