Spring break is nearly upon us, and last
month we asked you to tell us about your absolute dream vacation, and not one person
said they wanted to go to the moon. Can you
believe that? It’s so quiet up there. But, we
did get a few very nice answers that made us
stare off dreamily and imagine being able to
get away.
Ed Gibson said he wants to get a house boat
and take a trip down the Mississippi, which
sounds absolutely delightful (so long as you
keep an ear open for the strains of distant
banjo playing, for safety’s sake).
Reader Janine told us “I would be happy with
a beautiful day hiking at Cheaha… we have
so many beautiful things right here at home,”
which is a great reminder that you don’t always have to go far to find somewhere per-

fect to spend your time. Unfortunately, she’s
got two boys in sports and that keeps the
family tied up, but don’t worry, Janine; you’re
making memories.

also had a great answer. Congratulations to
William Staggs, who said (rather romantically) that he’d like to get the kids to stay with
relatives so he could “fly to Hawaii and take
a trip around each and every island with my
beautiful wife,” he says. “Her wearing a grass
skirt,” he added, and we got some very fuzzy
feelings at how sweet that is. Keep an eye on
