D-Day Salute
at Berman Meusem – 10:30am
On June 6, the Berman Museum will
honor history and veterans with our an-
nual D-Day salute. The 75th anniversary
observance will feature area veterans
from World War II and other conflicts,
military speakers, live 40s-era entertain-
ment, and patriotic music. It will be a
day of celebration and reflection as we
remember those who served and all they
accomplished. The event will recognize
the service of all veterans and offer op-
portunities to talk with them and listen to
their stories. Bring the children or grand-
children. Let them hear from those who
served. A complimentary lunch of hot-
dogs, chips, and a drink will be provided
to all event attendees. Lunch will be
prepared by Leslie E. Amidon, MSgt. (Ret.)
USAF and Sandra J. Amidon, former Sgt.
USAF. If you are a WWII veteran or know
one that would like to attend this event,
please call 256-237-6261 to reserve a seat
for veterans and friends/family seating.
This event will be outdoors under a tent
with limited indoor seating for lunch.
Indoor lunch seating can be reserved by
calling the Berman Museum or emailing
48
[email protected] by June 4.
Program, lunch, and museum admission
are complimentary on June 6.
