UNPLUG and RECHARGE
1. Spend a night under the stars at Cheaha State Park

Explore all that Cheaha has to offer! You can
reserve a tent in the primitive campground
for less than $25 per night. If sleeping on the
ground isn’t your cup of tea, enjoy a two-
person cabin, a chalet, or book a room at the

Astrophotography
Cheaha Lake | June 1 | 9:00 - 11:30 pm | $25
During the daytime there is plenty to
explore at Alabama’s highest point. Choose
a trail to hike, discover a waterfall, or lounge
around at Cheaha Lake for a day or weekend
full of fresh air. The six-acre Cheaha Lake
offers some of the best recreational bass
and bluegill fishing in the area.
Day use fees apply for Cheaha Lake and
park entry. Parking fees may apply to access
trails.
One of the great simple pleasures of spring
to sit outside and gaze at the stars. The
Milky Way Galaxy is visible in all of its cosmic
splendor. Eta Aquariid meteors will also
make a stunning show in the night sky.
Photographer Trey Walker will teach you
skills for capturing the gems of the night
sky. Bring your camera and tripod for an
evening of photography fun! Fee: $25.00
