familiar sound churning in the background brings smiles to the faces
of adults and children alike. HOMEMADE ICE CREAM!
It’s hard to imagine anything better than a styrofoam bowl of homemade vanilla
heaven to cool you down on these hot summer nights. So, we’ve gathered our favorite
homemade ice cream recipes to share with you.
Not all recipes call for a maker, but if you need one, you can pick one up for as little as $20
- $25. Try Walmart and Amazon for low prices.

Chocolate Frosty

Ingredients:
• 6 eggs yolks
• 2 cups white sugar
• 24 oz. heavy cream
• 1 can sweetened condensed milk
• 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
• Whole Milk (about 2 cups)
Instructions:
1. Cream eggs and sugar.
2. Then add cream and condensed milk
and vanilla.
3. Beat until well blended.
4. Pour into ice cream churn.
5. Add milk until to fill line.
6. Insert dasher.
7. Pack cooler with layer of ice, then rock
salt, and continue to repeat until full.
8. It's done when it won't churn anymore.
INSIGHT
Ingredients:
• 1 can sweetened condensed milk
• (1) 8 oz. tub Cool Whip
• 1/2 gallon chocolate milk
Instructions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in a mixing
bowl or pitcher first
2. Turn on the ice cream maker, then pour
your mixture in
3. Blend for 20 or 30 minutes, until it’s the
perfect consistency
