new album tackle mental
health issues such as “anxi-
ety and depression, and just
overcoming the stigmas in
society.”
Over the past two years, The
Sunsets have worked hard to
expand their resume, playing
across the Southeast at bars,
restaurants, and larger tour-
ing venues. “We play a lot of
shows over in Atlanta, at The
Masquerade,” says Torsten.
The Sunsets also utilizes the
online platform, ReverbNa-
tion, to submit music for
different events. In fact, the
Sunsets were recently se-
lected to play at the Cutting
Edge CE Conference and
INSIGHT
Events in New Orleans, LA as
a showcase band.
Last year, The Sunsets record-
ed the EP “Fatal Attraction” at
The Sound Shelter in Nash-
ville, TN. The opportunity
came after a family friend
started her own indie rock
label and opened a music
studio. “Of course we just
freaked out,” recalls Torsten,
“how often do you get asked
to go record up in Nashville?”
“Fatal Attraction” is available

Earlier this year, The Sunsets
were finalists in the Destina-
tion Okeechobee Music &
Arts Festival, playing at The
High Dive in Gainsville, FL.
