AKIBA’S TRIP: UNDEAD & UNDRESSED
(PS Vita, PS3, PS4) - AUGUST 5
This one is too weird to pass up: players take
on the role of an unnamed protagonist who
discovers that bloodsucking demons have
taken over the Akihabara district of Tokyo,
which can only be defeated by exposing
them to sunlight. Well, they’re actually able
to stand a little sunlight — if only there were
some way to expose them to more sunlight.
Oh! Why not yank their clothes off? The
game looks to lean more toward cute and
silly than pornographic, and both male and
female enemies require a good pantsing to
be defeated, so there’s equal opportunities
among the genders to get a little pervy.
ASSASSIN’S CREED UNITY (PS4, Xbox One)
- OCTOBER 28
The next entry in the long-running and
seemingly endless Assassin’s Creed catalog,
Unity features four-player co-op gameplay,
meaning you and three friends can parkour
around French Revolution-era Paris. Don’t
get too excited — the French Revolution
INSIGHT
pre-dates the building of the Eiffel Tower by
a full century.
THE EVIL WITHIN (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox
One) - OCTOBER 21
Brought to you by the Shinji Mikami, whom
you may remember from a little game series called “Resident Evil.” Players take on the
role of Detective Sebastian Castellanos as
he explores a nightmarish, gory world using
stealth and limited ammo to survive.
CALL OF DUTY: ADVANCED WARFARE (PS3,
PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) - NOVEMBER 4
The newest installment of the “Call of Duty”
series puts players 40 years into the future
and wild technology into their hands, including exoskeletal armor suits, homing
grenades and booster packs to jump into a
birds-eye view of combat, all the while maintaining the gripping stories of past entries in
the series — and probably killing off your
favorite characters in the process, because
that’s how COD rolls. ✽
