Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra
at Anniston Performing Arts Center

The Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra
(HSO) was founded in 1912 and is one of
Sweden’s oldest orchestras. Its principal
conductors have included Sten Frykberg,
John Frandsen, Okko Kamu, and Andrew
Manze, with whom it has recorded
symphonies by Beethoven and Brahms.
The HSO is undoubtedly one of the
region’s key international leaders and is
much sought-after for both concert tours
and recording projects. 23
The Sound of Music – Rodgers &
Hammerstein’s Classic Musical
at OPAC in Oxford at 7pm
The Sound of Music is most notably the
final collaboration of iconic Broadway
composer/lyricist duo Rodgers and
Hammerstein. The production opened
on Broadway in 1959 and won five Tony
Awards. The 1965 Oscar-winning film
starring Julie Andrews remains one of the
most successful musical films of all time.
This tour pays homage to the original
musical production and film including the
standards “Climb Every Mountain,” “Do-Re-
Mi,” and “The Sound of Music.”
This program is free with paid museum
admission. Members are free.

Winter Scavenger Hike on Longleaf Trail
2:00 PM - LBG Classroom and Longleaf Trail
Join us for a family scavenger hike on the
Longleaf Trail where participants will look
for listed nature items located on the trail.
The Longleaf Trail is 1/3 mile long and has
slight elevation changes. The families that
complete the hike will take home a tree for
planting!
Meet in the lobby at LBG. In case of
inclement weather, the program will be
rescheduled. This program is limited to
