McIntyre understands what it’s like to take
the family out to dinner, and he hopes the
systems he’s implemented will make the
dining experience at Heroes more enjoyable
for the whole family.
Heroes hours are 4:00 to 10:00 pm Monday
through Wednesday; 4:00 pm to 12:00 am
on Thursday; 4:00 pm to 2:00 am on Friday;
11:00 am to 2:00 am on Saturday; 11:00 am
to 10:00 pm on Sunday.
While Sunday alcohol sales are legal in
Anniston, McIntyre says Heroes will not
serve alcohol on Sundays until 3:00 pm.
As for the bar, McIntyre has condensed the
number of beer taps to 20, with 10 reserved
for domestics and 10 for crafts. “I like to
hit the local breweries,” he says. “With five
[taps] we tried to do something that was an
8
Alabama brewery, and then the other five
crosses the spectrum of what people are
accustomed to.” Heroes bar will also be fully
stocked with liquor drinks.
The stage on the restaurant side of Heroes
is still standing, and McIntyre plans to bring
in live music soon. There are two pool tables
and three dart boards in the room left of
the bar, as well as a full deck off the back of
the building that will come into play as the
weather warms up this spring.
McIntyre has taken the steps necessary to
create a fun atmosphere for families and
friends. He says he wants to run a restaurant
where he would want to take his family.
