F
ebruary brings chalky, heart-shaped
candy and cliche acts of romance
which is great for all of the lovers
out there, not always so much for those
living the single life. This month we’re
going to do our best to prepare us all for
the upcoming pink and red overload.
Treat your sweetie to a unique and
homemade gift this Valentine’s Day with
an on-trend rope sign. The best part about
this craft is that you don’t have to be a
handyman or woman to pull it off. Pick up a
piece of reclaimed wood at your craft story
(or make your own) and trace out your text
with chalk. Next, use a hot glue gun to spell
out your text in rope.

Originally, I planned on presenting this next
idea with the idea of a romantic dinner for
two in mind, but what if we flipped these
paper fortune cookies around for you and
your single friends? I propose hosting a
Chinese-themed dinner for “all the single
ladies” in your life and present each guest
with fortunes such as “You will travel to
new lands this year.” or “New experiences
will appear in coming months.” Have
fun with it! We all know that being in a
relationship doesn’t always equal rainbows
and happiness so why worry about what
you don’t have on this icky sweet holiday?
Embrace the endless possibilities ahead of
you by thinking outside the box… or cookie
in this case. Source: evermine.com
