Darren Knight ' Southern Momma '
“ T ake your time , honey . I ’ m just putting dishes away .”
Darren Knight took some time to speak with me about his whirlwind success as America ’ s favorite Southern Momma .
When he called , Darren was at home , taking care of everyday-type chores like doing the dishes . Speaking to him that day you would never guess that he was about to head out to LA for an in studio interview with Adam Carolla , before kicking off another “ Southern Momma An Em ” comedy tour beginning February 2 in Chattanooga , Tennessee .
As carefree and charismatic as you would imagine , Darren opened up about his new life . He admits that he doesn ’ t like traveling , “ It ’ s a lonely damn existence .” Darren says touring can be hard on his family , “ Everybody has to work around [ my ] schedule and sometimes that can be kinda hard ”.
Although , there is one major upside to his new gig that makes up for all of that - meeting his fans . “ We ’ ve met some really sweet , nice people that have shown us hospitality .”
