While the hunters are real experts in their fields and the danger feels extremely real , there ’ s one other aspect that plays a role in this game of hide-and-seek ; the cameras ! “ The first few days it ’ s obviously awkward , but then they kind of just go away .” Emiley said that although they were always there , in her face when she was sweating and nasty , after a certain point “ you just have to deal with it ”.
Life after the show has changed a bit for David and Emiley . She says , “ Now , you just know that every red light that you ’ re at almost has a camera .” She says they both notice things now that they may not have in the past . “ It makes you notice and makes you aware that you ’ re always being recorded and

The thought that “ big brother ” is keeping an eye on you is hardly comfortable to most . Emiley says that she and David view their time on the run as a positive experience . “ Being plucked away , literally , from your cell phones or social media and everything for 30 days was so awesome . I think everyone should try it . It makes you live in your life . You have to be present in every moment .”
Emiley said that relying on friends and family while on the run reminded her how special time spent with people close to you is . “ We made it because of all of the people that helped us along the way .”
“ We made it …” Wait , was that a slip ? Does our hometown ‘ fugitive ’ make it to the end to claim the prize ? I can ’ t say for sure , but I certainly hope so !
“ We intentionally went into this trying to play a cat and mouse game ,” Emiley admits . “ We wanted to have as many close and narrow escapes as possible . And that ’ s exactly what we did .”
