In fact , after seeing how well her parents handled questions from the hunters in the second episode , Emiley thinks maybe her folks should sign up to go on the run . “ I could not stop laughing . It was so funny . They were asking where we were and so on , and they literally said nothing . My mom was like ‘ Emiley ? Don ’ t know her ’.”
Emiley and David were nicknamed Bonnie and Clyde during the casting process , perhaps partly due to a promise they made each other before going on the show . “ We made a conscious decision before the show started . We ’ re not going to allow this to let us argue and get in the way of our relationship .” Emiley says the experience actually brought them closer together .
Emiley said they knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and that they wanted to have fun with it . “ We didn ’ t go into this wanting to hide in the woods for 30 days . We wanted to make this fun and exciting and as true to ourselves as possible .”
If you ’ ve been watching the show , you know that David has a unique past . He was a member of a gang in Miami , has been shot , stabbed and arrested multiple times . According to Emiley , David is “ one of the most transparent people you will ever meet ”. Now , he works as a criminal defense attorney in Atlanta , Ga . So it seems that everything in his life has prepared him for an opportunity like the show Hunted provides .
“ I definitely relied on him , but we were very much a team . It was definitely 50 / 50 .” With a career in fashion , it ’ s fair to say that Emiley was far less prepared for this journey and at times , it showed .
In episode 1 , the hunters were able to trace the indentions of her writing on a desk calendar . She had mapped out places they could hide once they were on the run . The hunters joked that it could be a number 2 pencil that led to their capture . When I asked Emiley about the calendar she groaned “ Uh , that calendar !”. It appears that the calendar isn ’ t going anywhere , anytime soon . She encourages us to “ stay tuned ” to see what happens next .
Although some doubt whether she can make it on the run , Emiley is sharp , and she surprised us all when she suggested that she
