students will have the chance to pre-register for one of two special Animal Encounters: either an interpretive visit to the Live Animal Facility and/or an educational hike on the Bird of Prey Trail. The Live Animal Facility is an area normally off-limits to the public, where Anniston Museums large and varied collection of program animals live. Students will enjoy the chance to see these animals up-close, and will be able to ask questions about the animals, their habitats, diets, life cycles, etc, of our trained Museum staff and volunteers, who will be there to facilitate the encounters. Anniston Museums Animal Encounters (Live Animal Facility Tours and Bird of Prey Trail Hike) will be offered every thirty minutes, between 10am to 12:30pm. The pre-registration sign-up sheets for these offerings will be available at 9:30am in the Anniston Museum Lobby. Spaces on these tours are limited and will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
