schoolchildren in the Hardin Center’s 26th annual
Festival of Trees. This year’s theme, “The Big
Screen,” will include trees celebrating Hollywood
favorites.

Join in on all the fun in the Polar edition of First
Friday! Dress as your favorite Christmas character
and do the North Pole Stroll from the Pitman
Theater to City Hall. Bask in the starlight while
carols are sung to the Christmas Tree Lighting.
Take in the river view as the Coosa Christmas Boat
Parade cruises by and then catch the Gadsden
State Show Band concert at the Pitman Theater.
Featuring millions of lights, the park includes many
scenes synchronized to holiday music, train rides,
pioneer village, write Santa a letter at the old post
office, visit with Santa & viewing of Noccalula Falls.

Join us on the river for the Coosa Christmas Boat
Parade on the First Friday in December! Events
downtown include the North Pole Stroll, the
Gadsden Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, the
Boat Parade and a concert by the Gadsden State
Show Band at the Pitman Theater. The boats will
assemble at Ray Family Park and cruise upstream
through downtown Gadsden and return. Good
viewing spots are the Ray Family Park, The Coosa
Boardwalk across from Moragne Park on Hwy 411,
the City Hall grounds where the Christmas Tree
lighting will be and Coosa Landing and the new
Riverwalk Park.
