that come with them), look no further
than “Christmas Vacation,” one of the
most popular entries into the “National
Lampoon’s Vacation” series. Clark Griswold
tries desperately to hold his family together
in the face of snarky neighbors, deadbeat
bosses and Christmas lights that absolutely
refuse to work, with dear Uncle Eddie
emptying his septic line into the gutter in
front of Clark’s house all the while. It is, in
short, the most honest Christmas film ever
written.

Of all the Christmas films ever made, “A

Christmas Story” is probably the most
common family tradition. The timeless
classic (seriously, try and guess when this
movie was filmed) tells the story of Ralphie
and his desperate bid for an official Red
Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot
range model air rifle in the face of parents,
teachers, bullies, snotty little brothers and
the most sinister mall Santa to ever wear
the beard. Seeing this flick with a big crowd
is a whole different experience to watching
it on television and makes it well worth a
trip to the PAC.
