and listen to storybook readings, while
adults can pick up signed copies of new
books by local authors like Kimberly O’Dell,
author of “Anniston Revisited,” or meet
children’s book authors Jan and Jennifer
Hurd, who just recently released “Cleo and
Olive Find a Home,” based on the adventures
of their two dogs. Not least of all, craft
vendors will be selling their wares during
Village hours, which means a bit of lastminute holiday shopping can be squared
away with some thoughtful, handmade gifts.
Santa himself will be in attendance as
well, and while there won’t be an official
photographer, parents are welcome to bring
their own cameras and snap a few photos of
the kids with St. Nick, free of charge.
Attendees can pick up their favorite meal
from tons of local restaurants, including
INSIGHT
Effina’s, Thai One On, Smallcakes and the
Peerless Grille, as well as new restaurant
Rosie’s Gourmet to Go. Noble Street
restaurants will be in on the festivities, too,
with Classic on Noble and Rack and Roll
Billiards both open and ready to serve up
delicious meals. Grace Church will also be
giving away hot chocolate to keep visitors
warmed up during the festivities.
The parade starts at 3 PM and includes floats
made by local organizations, including
high schools, law enforcement, fire and
emergency services and more.
Santa’s Village will be at 930 Noble Street
