this December, with concerts, movies and
plenty of free opportunities to celebrate
Christmas as a community. Want to hear
some a cappella Christmas tunes, see a
world-famous orchestra or maybe catch
a childhood favorite movie with your
family? It’s all there. Check out what’s
coming up this month!

Christmas with the Atlanta Pops
Orchestra
Dec. 18 at 7 PM
Voices of the South is the Central Alabama
chapter of the Barbershop Harmony
Society, an organization dedicated to
keeping Barbershop alive and thriving.
Naturally, Voices of the South know
their stuff, and they put on an amazing a
cappella Christmas program to prove it.
Voices of the South Christmas is a free
concert.
Dec. 4 at 7:30 PM
The Atlanta Pops are celebrating their
70th anniversary this year, and plan to
bring Christmas music to new heights
at the Performing Arts Center. They’ll be
performing music from their recent holiday
release, “In the Spirit,” featuring a live guest
appearance by John Driskell Hopkins, a
founding member of the Zac Brown Band
and a key composer of the album. The
orchestra’s 30-plus members also perform

Dec. 12 at 7 PM
A classic take on Christmas standards
played on piano.
Admission is free.
