• Dec. 5-8, 12-15 - CAST presents The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, about the Herdman kids, the worst children
in the world, and how they end up turning a Christmas

• Dec. 8 - Knox Concert Series Presents The Nutcracker,
from 2-4 p.m. at the Anniston Performing Arts Center,

• Dec. 10 - Former Insight Artist of the Month Jason
Wright will be performing Christmas carols along with
Chris Phillips from 3-6 p.m. at the Jacksonville Public

• Dec. 15 - Golden Springs Live Nativity, from 6-8 p.m. at
the Oxford Performing Arts Center - includes a huge cast
reenacting the story of the birth of Jesus.
time with Santa himself:
• Dec. 1-24 - Kids can visit with Santa himself at the Quintard Mall for “Santa and Me” photos. The old elf offers a

• Dec. 2 - If you can believe it, from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the
Quintard Mall, you can also have your pet take a photo
with Santa, so if Fido has anything he’d like to ask for,
tonight is the night.
• Dec. 7 - Bring the kids to visit Santa’s workshop starting
at 10 a.m. at the Quintard Mall, where they’ll make a craft
they can take home, visit with Santa and have a Chick-filA kid’s meal, to boot. Admission is $7, which will benefit
United Way’s Imagination Library program. Reservations

• Dec. 12 - Santa’s Winter Wonderland at the Anniston
Public Library at 4 p.m., with games, crafts and free pictures with Santa.
Christmas In General
Here are a few extra ideas for holiday fun to help you make
the most of the Christmas season:
• Dec. 7 - How the Grinch Stole Christmas plays at the
Jacksonville Public Library today at noon in the Children’s Section.
• Dec. 7, 14, 21 - Train rides at the Quintard Mall from 11-5
p.m. every Saturday before Christmas, starting from the
station near Toys R Us. Tickets are $3 at guest services,
which is also right beside Toys R Us.
• Dec. 9 - Anniston Library Pre-parade Santa Stories starts
at 5:30 p.m.
• Dec. 9 - Ohatchee Christmas on the Town from 5-7 p.m.
in downtown Ohatchee.
Santa Visits
• Dec. 12 - The Jacksonville Public Library hosts “A Very
Merry Grinchmas,” where kids can make crafts, have
snacks, win contests for their dressing as their favorite
character from Seuss’s Whoville and listen to Christmas
stories. The fun starts at 4 p.m.

to make sure you’re getting the gifts you really want for
Christmas (and so Mom and Dad can get a photo or two
