LIP SYNC BATTLE

A night of fun for the whole family ! The third annual Lip Sync Battle presented by the Arc of Calhoun and Cleburne Counties is August 18 .
Pick your favorite song for a moment in the spotlight or gather a group of friends to piece together a performance in an effort to raise money for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities .
Pati Tiller , Outreach Coordinator for The Arc , says the Lip Sync Battle is a fundraiser for some of The Arc ’ s programs . “ Most [ programs ] are free ,” she says , “ the only one we charge for is our summer day programs .”
For a $ 25 fee , you are given two slots in the show . “ There ’ s an Act 1 and Act 2 ,” Tiller explains . There is a five minute limit on each number , and a limit of six people per group .
The Lip Sync Battle begins at 7:00 pm at The Arc of Calhoun and Cleburne Counties , 401 Noble Street , Anniston . Admission is $ 5 per person , $ 3 for children and senior citizens .
Three titles are awarded at the end of the battle , Judge ' s Favorite , Audience Favorite , and the “ Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is ” fundraising award .
A panel of judges will choose one act to receive the Judge ’ s Favorite award , and the audience will choose a favorite by voting . Everyone receives one vote with admission and may purchase additional votes for $ 1 a
