doing your part to help
children in need. The Great Northwestern
Food and Wine Tour benefits Children’s
Services, Inc., a nonprofit organization
committed to serving children through
the Parris Home for children, a residential
home in Calhoun County for abused and
neglected children.
The Great Northwestern Food and Wine
Tour Fundraising Dinner is Monday, August
27, at Effina’s Downtown on Noble Street in
Anniston.
There will be two, two-hour dinner tours.
The first tour will begin at 5:30 pm and the
second at 7:45 pm. A live jazz ensemble
will set the mood for you to enjoy the four
course dinner including wine pairings and a
dessert course.

says “Guests will be able to sample food
unavailable in our local area, and we’re sure
“foodies” will not leave disappointed”. Fuller
explains that Steven Landers, owner of
Effina’s Tuscan Grill and Effina’s Downtown,
“proposed a menu unlike anything
currently served at either Effina’s location”.
“We’re calling it the ‘Great Northwestern
Food and Wine Tour’ because Effina’s is
flying in fresh food and wine from Oregon
and Washington,” Fuller continues. “Some
of the menu items have come to market by
the way of food forages who gather fresh
food from the wilderness areas of the great
Northwest.”
Tickets for The Great Northwestern Food
and Wine Tour are limited. Individual tickets
are $50 per person. Corporate tables are
