band, though the group tries to keep their
sets original by being picky about song

Right now the band is working on original material to be recorded and released
in the fall, engineered at Corn’s barn loft
recording studio, which doubles as the
band’s practice space and headquarters.
They’re performing at the Weaver Arts
and Heritage Festival on Sept. 12, along
with a slew of local shows around Calhoun
County in the interim. The band keeps
their goals grounded, planning only for
the future to be fun.
“The audience is the most important thing,
so we always stay on our toes,” said Corn.
Cover band staples like “Free Bird” are
generally ignored, favoring funk like Dazz
Band’s “Let It Whip” and oldies like “Just
What I Needed” by the Cars, mixed with
Pink Floyd and others. Setlists change on
stage frequently to accommodate the
mood of the room, and the songs are usually a little more jam-band oriented than
the original record [
