I
t happens to everyone: you fall in love
with a TV show, become a dedicated fan
and follow it through endless schedule
changes, bumps from one network to another
and even, help us, when the showrunners
are changed to see if a quirky fourth-season
revamp can turn things around (long live Dan
Harmon!).
But the question we want to ask you, gentle
Insight readers, is if we were to somehow take
over the networks, were Insight to incite a few
televised revolutions — what show would we
use our new, infinite power to bring back from
the dead?
You can pick anything — although we’ve
already called first in line to get back Firefly.
What under-loved favorite would you resurrect?
Just fire off your idea for which show and why
it should come back in the handy form in this
article or at the back of the magazine. We’ll
pick a winner response at random for a $50
O’Charley’s gift card from O’Charley’s Oxford!
july Contest Results!
Last month we asked you to take a trip down
memory lane and tell us your top 3 80s tunes,
and you all definitely delivered. We dove into
your suggestions, through clouds of hairspray,
flocks of seagulls and November rain. And
we’re here to report, you’re all culturally on top
of things — the 80s remain preserved for at
least another decade!
Our Randomized Winner Selection Process
28
(patent pending) revealed this month’s winner
to be reader Lily Clan, who said that her big 3
were Warrant’s Cherry Pie, Guns and Roses’
November Rain and Michael Jackson’s Thriller,
all of which were pretty big milestones for the
decade, especially Thriller, which cemented
Jackson as a Really Big Deal. We’ll be in touch
at the email address you provided to get you
your gift card to O’Charley’s! Congratulations!
