Sunny King Criterium
The King of All CRITS !
The Sunny King Criterium is like NASCAR on two wheels . Hundreds of road racing cyclists will complete the 0.7 mile course on April 8 .
Even if you ’ re not watching from the street , you can enjoy these power packed races on-the-go ! The amateur and professional races will stream live from noon to 9:30 pm . Brad Sohner will provide commentary on the live stream and Frankie Andreu will announce the races live on stage .
The races will begin at 10:00 am with the amateur and junior category races . Races for cash prizes start at 11:40 am , with the Women ’ s Cat 3 / 4 / 5 Crit . race . The action continues all afternoon until the Women ’ s and Men ’ s Pro races , starting at 6:20 and 7:30 pm , respectively . Those races are for grand prizes of $ 12,500 each . It ’ s the race you don ’ t want to miss !
Race entry fees are donated to Calhoun County Relay for Life , a local American Cancer Society fundraiser . $ 80,000 has been donated since 2005 . The 2017 goal is $ 12,500 .
