Last month we celebrated St. Pat’s by asking you what your favorite drinks were and how to make them, if making them is indeed required, and we were thoroughly impressed with some of the mixes we received and favorites we found. As always, we chose a winner at random from the responses and discovered that Lori Brooks Lear’s “Liquid Saint Patrick” was this month’s winner! Office favorite Ed Gibson gave us his recipe for the Frozen Grasshopper: “3/4 oz Creme De Menthe (green), 3/4 oz White Creme De Cacao, 2 Cups Vanilla Ice Cream, 3 to 4 Ice Cubes. Mix in blender so looks like a milk shake, pour in glass and add a mint leave to garnish. Makes about 2 drinks - drink slow.” The Liquid Saint Patrick is 1 part Captain Morgan, 1 part Coconut Rum, 1 part Midori Melon liquor, 1 part Blue Curacao and a splash of Sweet and Sour and a splash of pineapple juice. It’s a tangy cocktail that sounds delicious (we’ll try one as soon as we’re off duty!) and netted Lori a $25 Thai One On gift card!
