Monthly Monthly Beer Beer Review 312 URBAN WHEAT ALE Inspired by the city of Chicago and densely populated with flavor, 312’s spicy aroma of Cascade hops is followed by a crisp, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body that's immensely refreshing. What people are saying: 1. 312 has a lot of flavor for a lighter beer. This is one of my go-to beers, especially if I need to entertain and have beer that I know most will like. In my experience it goes well with chicken and fish, or after a long day of work. If you haven't tried it I strongly recommend that you do. 2. Tastes like a macro lager without the nasty corn flavor. This is one super light, watery flavored beer. It doesn't taste bad at all, its just so light and weak! A perfect starter beer for sure. Appearance: Hazy, light golden in color with a moderate, sticky white head, which retains well. Thick, fine-beaded lacing coats the glass walls. The carbonation is slight. Aroma: Classic American Pale Wheat aroma, very bread-like, with some grassy and citric hops. In all, the hop aroma seems quite mild. Taste: Opens with a sturdy wheat malt presence, as well as lemony and grapefruit hops. In all, the hops have the upper hand throughout the taste, but not by much. Finishes with a mild wave of lemony hops, which finish cleanly. 42 April 2014 Mouth feel: Smooth, soft, and pleasant. Drinkability/notes: Very drinkable, perfect for summer.
