SCION KIDZONE The Scion Kidzone features tons of kids’ entertainment, bringing back favorites like Star Wars characters and bounce houses, but this year there are a few new activities: • Kids’ bike races • Train rides • Mellow Mushroom Mad Dash • Star Wars Characters • Free Art Activities • Craft Booth by Home Depot • Inflatables (bouncy houses) • Big Sam the Balloon Man • Army Tank Simulator A tank-driving sim will definitely make the afternoon a hit with the kids — girls like blowing stuff up, too, mom and dad — but there are also some opportunities to get exercise and burn some excess energy. Kids can take a run with the Mellow Mushroom Mad Dash, which starts at 5 p.m. at the bike race starting line, where the kids will get to run the actual race course used by the pros. Fifth and sixth graders will ride the actual pro course, but the race is open to all ages below sixth grade and tricycles are accepted race vehicles. Registration for each race is $10 and can be completed at Classic On Noble the day of the festival, or save $2 and register for both for $18. 12 April 2014 INSIGHT
