BEXHILL 100 EASTER BONNET PARADE // 16 APR
Easter Sunday marks the first of Bexhill 100 Motoring Club’ s seafront displays. The‘ Easter Bonnet Parade’ is when the Bexhill 100 Motoring Club members decorate both traditional Easter bonnets as well as their own car bonnets – a trophy is presented to the‘ best dressed’ car and there are prizes for the best Easter bonnet in both adult and children’ s categories. A big thank you must go to Stella, owner of The Old Bathing Station, who usually also enters into the spirit of the day.

THE MUSEUM AT EASTER // 15-17 APR
The Weald and Downland Museum is a wonderful place to visit at Easter. There is a schedule of activities that vary daily, including Easter cooking in the Tudor kitchen, egg painting, bonnet making and a traditional bonnet parade on Easter Monday. The Bayleaf farmstead and its adjacent Winkhurst Tudor kitchen offer an impressive backdrop to the Easter activities, which begin with the traditional‘ Good Friday bake’ in the Tudor kitchen. Easter marks the start of the museum’ s main season, when the longer days and warmer weather can be enjoyed against the stunning backdrop of this 40-acre site in the South Downs National Park. In addition to traditional Easter entertainment, visitors can meet the museum’ s new spring lambs.

OPEN LAMBING // UNTIL 19 APR
Gaston Farm is open every year for‘ open lambing’ where you can see lambs being born and maybe even get to cuddle an orphan lamb. They also have free tractor and trailer rides, a chick and duckling handling area, a café, and a shop – all in a friendly farm environment.
