Each visit to Newhaven Fort offers something new and exciting for all the family. If you are planning your visit, here are just a few suggestions of activities to include as part of your day out.

• Go on your own personal discovery of the fort

• Let the kids explore and have fun in the Adventure Park
• Observe the remarkable military design concepts and exhibition displays
• Enjoy a sense of freedom in the 10-acre site
• Relax and soak up the atmosphere
• Take afternoon cream tea in the 1940’ s Tea Room
• Mooch through the range of goodies in the gift shop
BUT THERE ' S MORE... OPENING TIMES:
Thanks to a partnership between Wave, Community Transport for the Lewes Area( CTLA), Newhaven Town Council, Compass Travel and East Sussex County Council, the Newhaven Town service circular route buses operated by CTLA and Compass, are now free to everyone – every Saturday!
Visitors, local residents – both young and old – children and adults will be able to hop on the 145 and 145X buses at numerous, convenient stops throughout the town and neighbouring communities and visit Newhaven Fort to experience a thrilling day out.
Commenting on the new service, Duncan Kerr, CEO of Wave said:“ We’ re happy to be working in partnership with the CTLA on this new and free service for the local Newhaven community and visitors from further afield.”
“ Each visit to Newhaven Fort offers something for everyone to enjoy,” he added.“ Our changing variety of activities including classic car shows, children’ s workshops, concerts, dances, charity runs, Santa’ s grotto and christmas market – plus all of our other events, makes sure that no two visits will be the same.”
Throughout the school summer holidays, there is a full programme of daily interactive and exhilarating activities for children to take part in at the fort including:
Pirates on Parade – create your own pirate persona and go hunting for treasure around the Fort.
Flights of Fancy – have fun creating and testing your own rocket or flying machine.
Spy Camp – learn spy craft, create your own secret agent kits and go on a top secret mission.
The friendly team at Newhaven Fort look forward to welcoming you- please be prepared to stay all day, as Newhaven Fort will keep you and your family well and truly occupied in this day out with a difference!
