Anyone can get involved, all you need to start is an idea! Throughout the heart of the festival programme there is a curated stream of arts and educational activities that the festival coordinates. These arts commissions and digital education awards help bolster the festival’ s commitment to widening access and engagement with big ideas in contemporary digital culture.

All England Jumping Championships // 1-4 Sep
Hickstead introduced a brand new national competition, The All England Jumping Championships, in 2011 – and since then the show has gone from strength to strength. Along with two different sections for amateur riders, there is something for every calibre of national rider. Crucially, the show makes it possible to extend the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the infamous International Arena to a much wider audience than in the past. There ' s even an opportunity to jump some of Hickstead ' s famous natural obstacles; a brilliant introduction for a future derby star.
Great competition, long summer nights and a non-stop programme of evening entertainment promises that this show is already getting a reputation as the only place to be in early September. With a choice of restaurants, and different entertainment and live music planned for each night, just make sure you ' re in bed in time to jump in the morning!
