The 2008 gives you a smooth (and extremely
quiet) drive, very comfortable, and excellent on
long journeys. But it is also perfectly at home
around town, nipping to the shops, or in the case
of our road-test day, to the beach! Add to this
the excellent feature for driving on different terrains
(aided by a small dial by the handbrake) and
ample space, and you’re looking at a family
workhorse of a car, that can go anywhere and
do just about anything.
With a 0-62mph time of 9.9 seconds and a top
speed of 119, the 2008 moves swiftly for an SUV,
but thanks to the sturdy wheels and the always
fabulous Peugeot ride, it never gives the
impression it is racing out of control, but rather
‘cruises’ regally at higher speeds, making it a very
relaxing mode of transport.
