CHARITY JOIN THE 44TH ARLINGTON BLUEBELL WALK AND FARM TRAIL The Arlington Bluebell Walk began in 1972 as a way to raise money for local needs, and since then 67 charities have benefited from the £800,000 raised in total. This year, the 44th walk and farm trail will open on Saturday April 2 and will remain open every day from 10am to 5pm until Sunday May 8, with an admission charge of £5.00 adults; £4.50 seniors; £2.00 children (3-16yrs); and family tickets charged at £12.00. This year, there are 22 local charities participating who will provide light lunches and a range of refreshments, as well as a warm welcome to visitors. There are also 12 mobility scooters available free of charge for those with walking difficulties. Since 1972, the Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail has developed into seven interesting walks over three working farms. One of the walks, through Beatons Wood, has been made suitable for wheelchair users, and is where you find white anemones followed by a vista of bluebells, established over centuries. There will also be a photographic competition, a children’s quiz, plant stall, farm shop, picnic area, and free car parking. Dogs are welcome, but only on leads to prevent disruption to the wildlife.
