HEALTH+WELLNESS
THINK PRESS 3-day Green Cleanse
£90, www.thinkfoods.co.uk
A 3-day juice-only cleanse during which
nothing, bar water, is consumed except five
500ml juices daily, THINK PRESS’ Green
Cleanse is a huge hit of health served…
yep…mainly green. Cold pressed in Kent, but
delivered nationwide and marked clearly in
the order you should drink them, the juices
are made from 100 per cent raw ingredients
including nutritional powerhouses cucumber,
wheatgrass, spinach and watercress, and you
receive them fresh, the morning after they’ve
been pressed.
How did it taste?
It’s only fair to bear in mind that I chose the
‘green’ cleanse and the clue is in the name;
you’re not going to get an earthy hit of
beetroot, or a sweet shot of carrot in a green
juice, and – perhaps in an immature throwback
to a childhood disdain of constantly being
told to eat my greens – I was dubious about
how nice the juices would taste. But, I was
wrong. They were lovely. Even the courgetteheavy ‘Cleanse Green’, which I immediately
preconceived would be my least favourite juice
of the day, turned out to be the one I most
looked forward to. The sweet ‘Almond Milk’ or
chocolate milk-esque ‘Cacao Cashew’ juices
that you guzzle at the end of the day are a
genius idea because they’re mostly made of
water and yet feel like a bonafide treat.
Was I hungry?
There’s no denying that juicing is tough
– especially for a beginner – and if you’re
someone like me who gets hungry between
meals and eats, albeit healthily, about five times
a day, you’ll probably feel hungry at some
stage. The morning of day two was that point
for me, but I gulped down my first two juices
within four hours, supplemented with water
and persevered. After that, it was much easier
than I’d imagined.
Energy levels?
Day one: boundless and excitable; day two:
only one struggle at the mid-morning slump;
day three: genuinely energised, I felt like I could
do another day, but probably not another three.
My skin was glowing by the end of the second
day too.
Who would this detox work for?
If you’re feeling sluggish and stressed, or want
to drop some excess water and a few pounds
in the process – yes. If you need to chew and
your will power isn’t great – no.
Weight loss: 3lbs.
Marks out of 10: Nine.

How did it taste?
I’m truly blown away. When I read the list of
everything that the juices and meals don’t
contain, I wondered what on earth was left
that they possibly could include. Combining
all manner of fruits including tropical numbers
like banana, kiwi and peach alongside the
vitamin-packed stalwarts of a
