Alasdair Craig
Alasdair Craig is an artist with a difference. Whereas many use delicate tools and
infinitesimally small movements to create their pieces, Alasdair uses a tool more often
linked to destruction than creation… He uses a chainsaw to make the most stunning and

What made you pick up the chainsaw and
start creating?
A combination of curiosity and impatience! I
used to carve things by hand but it took too
long.
What inspires your art?
I love engraving and stained glass as well as
