Le Magasin
Large portions, excellent staff, and a homely

also be hired out for private parties, including
wedding receptions.
Limetree Kitchen
Limetree Kitchen specialises in modern
European cuisine with a creative twist. Using
only the finest locally sourced and seasonal
produce wherever possible the chefs delight in
bringing the customers some of the best quality
food in Sussex. Limetree Kitchen serves a lunch
menu five days a week (Wednesday to Sunday),
including gourmet burgers and craft beers every
Sunday (the famous 'Sunday Sliders'), and an
evening menu Wednesday to Saturday.
Horsted Place Restaurant
This restaurant is welcoming and unpretentious
with well-spaced tables, west facing views
of the setting sun and discreet, friendly staff.
When darkness falls, the room is bathed in
candlelight, and ideal for a romantic dinner for
two, whilst the relaxed atmosphere lends itself

Lewes Bonfire // Nov
The Lewes Bonfire Night, or the Lewes Bonfire
Night Celebrations, is the biggest celebrated
Fifth November Event in the world, and is
held every year on 5th November. There is a
fabulous festival centred around the bonfire, and
this year it will be on Thursday, 5th November.

Artwave // Aug-Sep
Now in its 22nd year, Artwave is one of the
biggest and most vibrant artists’ open house
festivals in the East Sussex calendar. Artists
and makers in Lewes, Seaford, Newhaven,
and surrounding areas open their homes and
studios, inviting the public in to see their latest
work and reveal the ways they make it.

Top Spot
Southover Grange Gardens date from the
16th century and are open from 8.30am until
dusk or 9pm (whichever is the earlier) all year
round except Christmas Day. With magnificent
trees, the beautiful Winterbourne stream, and
stunning sculptures the gardens are well worth
a visit.
