ARTS+ENTERTAINMENT CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR EASTBOURNE’S BRAND NEW SWASHBUCKLING PANTOMIME PETER PAN // Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne // 11 December 2015 – 17 January 2016 of swashbuckling pirates who include TV’s Britain’s Got Talent dance duo Twist and Pulse! Brian Capron, who lives in Hove, hit the headlines playing Coronation Street serial killer Richard Hillman. His other TV roles include teacher Mr Stuart Hopwood (Hoppy) in Grange Hill, EastEnders, and many other TV favourites including Taggart, Judge John Deed, Where The Heart Is and Strictly Come Dancing. His stage work includes national tours of Guys and Dolls and Stepping Out and Narrator in the Rocky Horror Picture Show in the West End. Eastbourne’s famous pantomime for 2015 is the much loved adventure, Peter Pan, and the theatres are delighted to announce Brian Capron will be starring as Pan’s nemesis the dastardly Captain Hook, leading his crew London street dance duo Twist and Pulse are renowned for their “streetomedy” performances, blending street dance and comedy, after rising to fame as runners-up in TV show Britain’s Got Talent. Audiences can expect a rumbustious display from them as Pirate Swash and Pirate Buckle! Also joining Hook’s crew will be comic Tucker as his sidekick Smee, who makes a welcome return alongside Martyn Knight, back as Eastbourne’s favourite pantomime Dame. Peter Pan will be the 15th pantomime produced by Eastbourne Theatres. Artistic director Chris Jordan said: “We are really looking forward to bringing this classic story of the boy who never grew up to the Devonshire Park Theatre in true Eastbourne Panto style.
