ECO TECHNOLOGY SHOW ATTRACTS MORE
BUSINESS VISITORS THAN EVER BEFORE
The Eco Technology Show celebrated its fourth
year at the American Express Stadium in June,
with a record increase in business visitors. They
accounted for 75% of the overall attendees, up
10% on 2014 alone.
A packed exhibitor show floor and seminar
programme attracted thousands of visitors
from across the UK and Europe, including
businesses, local government representatives,
facilities managers, builders and the general
public. All came to discover the latest
innovations, ideas and expertise to help slash
running costs and boost energy efficiency at
home and at work.
Nicola Gunstone, founder and commercial
director of the Eco Technology Show, was
delighted: “We had more on offer for business
people than ever before this year, so I’m really
pleased that this was reflected in the visitor
numbers with 75% coming from businesses.
“The Show has evolved since it began
and this year we had the best conference
programme and more innovative exhibitors
than ever before. The brand new Innovation
Zone was buzzing and new business was
being conducted throughout the Show. In fact,
we recorded the highest levels of exhibitor
satisfaction this year.”
The brand new Innovation Zone was a
big draw this year, with exhibitors showcasing
many products never before seen by the
public. Recent Government award winner for
best start-up, Q-Bot, showcased robotics
to assist with underfloor insulation alongside
new businesses demonstrating flexible solar
panels, sustainable courier services, energy
management systems and more.
TV Star Robert Llewellyn of Red Dwarf
fame discussed the rise of electric vehicles
as part of the expert speaker programme.
The latest EVs were displayed as part of the
Transport Zone with the BMW i8, Nissan Leaf
and Tesla Model S among the stars of the
Show. Robert stated: “One of the places I have
consistently seen the latest cars and related
