The Bay Tree restaurant in Arundel is intimate and cosy , but full of life within the 16th-century building that house us .
We are 100m down Tarrant Street off the main High Street . Our outside patio in the summer allows for leisurely lunches in the sun or shade , morning coffee , afternoon refreshments including pre-dinner drinks or evening suppers .
We have risen to new challenges since I took over nearly two years ago , one being to produce even more homemade produce . An example being our own ice creams , produced from the highest quality fresh ingredients to accompany our range of homemade desserts .
I have a passionate team in the kitchen leading to new dishes being offered on our specials boards as well as our frequently changing evening à la carte menu .
Gluten intolerant sufferers have always been catered for but now we have focused on having the majority of our menu as gluten free or with options for those with intolerances . There ’ s no missing out on our delicious double chocolate nut brownie or sticky toffee pudding to name just two menu items that are very appreciated by gluten intolerant sufferers .
We have the space and expertise to cater for private functions : weddings , birthday celebrations , and corporate and social occasions . This can be by the sole use of the whole restaurant , or partial use , due to having three dining areas that lend themselves for divided dining if required .
We have a wealth of experience amongst our front of house team with some new faces joining us adding to the diverse characters that already work here . We aim to provide a full experience of good food from starters through to dessert within a friendly and relaxed atmosphere so you leave wanting to revisit again soon .
