THE PICTURE HOUSE

Eat, drink, relax, celebrate, party, watch …
The Picture House Cinema & Restaurant is in the heart of Uckfield. The cinema, which has just undergone a full refurbishment, celebrated its centenary in 2016. The restaurant is opposite the cinema and has movie themed décor including many old film posters, collected over many years by cinema owner Kevin Markwick. Tansy Markwick, along with head chef Barry Ashford, is the creator of our delicious, and sometimes film-themed, dishes; the perfect place for a complete night out. You can even collect your film tickets from the restaurant.
Food is freshly cooked using locally sourced ingredients. The menu changes seasonally and we have a daily specials board. To complement a trip to the cinema this family-friendly restaurant is open from 10am. There is something for everyone from coffee and cake, a light bite to a special occasion meal.
Tuesday and Wednesday is‘ Two for One’ on our freshly cooked pizzas, made in our wood burning oven and served all day from 12pm, or try our traditional Sunday roast.
Sunday to Thursday we offer a special‘ Movie Meal Deal’. Just £ 21.95 for a film ticket and a 2-course meal( starter and main) for films screening after 7pm.
We love a special event and have regular live music on Thursday evenings and a quarterly Film and Food Quiz, plus movie-themed nights. These are a chance to watch a movie, dress up, eat delicious film-themed specials and dance the night away.
Both the cinema and restaurant are available for private hire and can cater for special birthdays, christening parties, business lunches, club outings and much more. We offer special children’ s film birthday party packages too.
