THE LECONFIELD

The Leconfield has rapidly gained a reputation as one of the finest places to dine in West Sussex. Head chef Paul Welburn joined the restaurant in October 2015 and has quickly made his mark on this popular venue.
Paul trained with some of the best chefs in Britain and has years of Michelin-star cooking behind him, holding a star for five years at restaurant W1 in London. He gained 2 AA rosettes for The Leconfield within weeks of his arrival in Petworth.
The dishes are inspired by the surrounding countryside and Paul is passionate about working with local suppliers. Firm favourites on the menu include his crispy pig, burnt apple, shallot, parsley.
A 5-course tasting menu is served throughout the year and the two private dining rooms are a beautiful setting for special occasions. They also run a series of wine tasting evenings and master classes throughout the year.
There is also a pretty courtyard garden, ideal for al fresco dining in the summer months.
DID YOU KNOW FACT: In 2014 Paul Welburn appeared on the BBC series, Great British Menu.
