The perfect Valentines treat!
These delicious gooey chocolate brownies with a raspberry buttercream filling are a perfect
treat for any occasion; whether it’s a birthday party snack or a treat at home– but the creamy
pink buttercream is the perfect Valentine’s twist. Baking is the ideal way to detox or to spend
time with friends and family, without relying on a screen or computer. Making sweet treats
like cookies and cakes can be extremely rewarding– especially when someone else can give

Raspberry buttercream :
The brownies:
50 g butter
1 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons vegetable
oil
1 & 1/4 cups white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla ex-
tract
1) Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius
2) Line pan/tray with baking paper
3) Combine melted butter, oil & sugars in
a bowl & whisk well. Add vanilla ex-

4) Sift in flour & cocoa powder. Gently
fold the dry ingredients in to the wet
ingredients.
5) Gently Fold in the chocolate pieces

Cook raspberries in a medium pan over a
medium heat until broken down in to a
sauce
Use a sieve to remove raspberry seeds,
which should leave a smooth raspberry
sauce
3) Combine the butter and icing sugar to
make buttercream
4) Pour in to pan & spread evenly Add a few teaspoons of the raspberry
sauce until the desired pink colour is
achieved.
7) Bake for 20/25 minutes until the mid- 5)
dle no longer jiggles & leave to cool Then either pipe or spread the icing on to
one brownie and place another on top.
8) Using a cookie cutter, make as many
circles as possible.
