Zombieland: Double Tap – (October 18 th ) 10 years after it’s predecessor, Zombieland: Double Tap carries on with the lovable band of zombie killers from the first film. Details about what happens in the film have been scarce, despite currently only one trailer, however it is safe to assume that it’ll be as funny as the last one. A lot happens in 10 years and Zombieland: Double Tap is boasting a seriously impressive cast. With Academy Award winners like Emma Stone (La La Land – Winner of Best Actress 2017), Jesse Eisenburg (The Social Network – nominated Best Actor 2010) and Woody Harrelson (Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri – nominated for Best Supporting Actor 2018). After a stale few years for the zombie genre after The Walking Dead , Zombieland: Double Tap will be the perfect jump start to get it back up and running Ghostbusters 35 th Anniversary The classic supernatural comedy with the most iconic paranormal paratroopers in history, the Ghostbusters return for their 35th anniversary. Although this isn’t a “new” release, I couldn’t help mentioning it. The film is a classic, and one worth re-watching. If you fancy seeing Bill Murray and the gang again at Colchester Odeon, head down on Sunday 6th October 15:00 or Monday 14th October at 19:00. Terminator: Dark Fate – (October 25 th ) Maleficent: Mistress of Evil – (October 18 th ) Oscar and three-time Golden Globe winner Angelina Jolie (Girl, Interrupted, Wanted) and Elle Fanning (The Beguiled, Super 8) reprise their roles as the dark fairy Maleficent and Princess Aurora, respectively, whose untold story was previously brought to life on screen in 2014’s Maleficent. From the looks of things, Jolie hasn’t been in anything big since the previous Maleficent film, is she up to the task? In all honesty, I can’t say I’m looking forward to this one. With the barrage of Disney live action films this year, maybe its best that Maleficent was left alone for a while longer. After so many tame reboots and sequels, Terminator: Dark Fate looks like one of the more promising attempts to rejuvenate the stagnant franchise. Set after Terminator 2: Judgment Day it's something of a reset, with previous sequels becoming an 'alternate universe'. Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Edward Furlong return, while Mackenzie Davis plays Grace, a human soldier who's been converted into a cyborg and sent from the future. I’m not too sure what to expect, it could go either way. Regardless, I’m sure the Terminator will be back again soon…
