The BarnYard The BarnYard’s licensed restaurant and bar is situated across two areas within a beautiful oak beamed barn with steps leading down to our beautiful patio or onto our decked area overlooking our friendly animals. We are open 7 days a week serving freshly cooked breakfasts (between 9am and 11.30am), three course lunches and light snacks (from 12 noon to close) and afternoon tea (from 2.30pm (3pm on Sunday) to close). As members of Produced in Kent we celebrate local and seasonal produce, and are proud to source the very best in Kentish ingredients wherever possible, a theme that runs throughout our menus. We are even prouder of the fact that we have produced onsite many of the ingredients that we use in our cooking from daily freshly laid eggs from our BarnYard chickens to our own BarnYard apple or pear juice, pressed and bottled directly from our own award-winning orchards. 01634 235059 Our chefs take pride in the food they prepare and use a lot of the ingredients from our specialist artisan farm shop in their cooking. You are welcome to come along and choose your own cheese from our extensively stocked deli counter to have served with your ploughman’s in our restaurant. Order a slice of homemade quiche, knowing that the eggs used have come directly from our own BarnYard chickens. With your lunch, why not choose a glass of summer Pimm’s with apples harvested from our own orchards and mint taken from our onsite herb garden. Our menus change with the season to reflect the exceptional produce available. the-barnyard.com We also offer daily specials, which our chefs create and we display on our ‘specials’ blackboard in the restaurant. Our extremely popular scrumptious homemade cakes and scones are available every day, including favourites such as Victoria sponge, coffee and walnut and chocolate fudge. Why not come along for an afternoon tea to have alfresco on our beautiful patio, or treat yourself and book our special High Tea menu. A lot of what we serve in our restaurant is available to purchase in our fantastic artisan farm shop. Come and sample Kent produce at its finest. We also offer a beautiful alfresco dining area which is laid out over two areas – a patio with lush landscaping where our guests can dine to the sound of water trickling from a gorgeous copper tree water fountain, or our unique raised decked terrace with views across 150 acres of orchards, paddocks and woodland with alpacas, ponies, donkeys and goats grazing in the fields. It certainly makes a unique and entertaining backdrop. Also consider The BarnYard for any private dining or private hire for events. 40 Gore Farm Oak Lane Upchurch Sittingbourne ME9 7EZ insideKENT restaurant guide 2016 contact@the-barnyard .com @the_barnyard_ /thebarnyard.upchurch /thebarnyard
