The Grove Ferry Inn
Nestling on the bank of the Great Stour River lies the charming
Grove Ferry Pub.
Overlooking the Stodmarsh Nature Reserve, the beautiful Georgian-style house
was designed for fun and entertainment. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor
space including a unique boathouse situated alongside the river with its own
private decking area, the perfect backdrop for any occasion.
The friendly Grove Ferry team will weave their magic to give a personalised
experience, whether you’re visiting for a quick pint, a meal with family and
friends, or you want to organise an event to celebrate those big moments in life.
Originally a lavender farm and hotel, the country pub has recently had a
glittering transformation including a new kitchen where the chefs will be cooking
up a storm every day with locally sourced ingredients and goodies found during
foraging adventures.
Cask ale enthusiasts will appreciate the new taproom, which has traditional
Kentish ales, guest ales and international lagers from local brewery, Shepherd
Neame. Relish the ales in the garden next to the hops pagodas, alongside the
existing herb, flower and pumpkin patches.
For visitors coming from further away, or locals who want to treat themselves
to a weekend getaway, the pub’s bed and breakfast has a selection of six quirky
and rustic rooms to book, with breakfast served in the snug downstairs pantry
room where homegrown vegetables and fruits are for sale.
