The beautiful and historic village of Wye, nestled at the
foot of the Kent Downs is de?nitely the place to be.
According to the Sunday Times’ annual list of the best
places to live in the UK, Wye ranked at number three,
we can certainly see why! And now, the newest
addition to Wye’s rich and varied culinary offer has
seen one of its most prominent landmarks - The Kings
Head - brought back to life.
Extensive renovations have seen the old bar and
restaurant areas united for the ?rst time, combining
comfortable coffee shop lounging with traditional
restaurant dining; the newly transformed Kings Head
is bringing a slice of modern style and ?avour to this
grand old building. The guest rooms have also been
given the “KH” treatment, with a bright and airy feel,
bringing together classic shaker panelling, antique
furniture, and citrus bright soft furnishings.

With ever changing restaurant quality dishes sitting
happily cheek-to-cheek with classic comfort food such
as cheese fondue, homemade chicken Kiev, and
Bourbon BBQ ribs with beef dripping chips, there is
something to tempt most! For the more daring, crispy
pigs’ ears, and tempura monk?sh cheeks offer
something a little out of the ordinary. Celebrity Master
Chef winner, and Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon is The
Kings Head’s food ambassador, and creates dishes
especially for the menu.
Not to be missed are Game Night Thursdays (when in
season), and Fish Night Fridays, when the specials
boards come alive with the best of Kent’s freshest
produce!
