VILLA MOURA
VIlla Moura is a decidedly “boutique” affair. Occupying
a converted Victorian town house, the restaurant is
bright and cosy, with several different dining areas, all
of which are available for private functions. The walls of
the restaurant are adorned with culinary based artwork
commissioned by a local artist, an example of our
relationship with the community.
The deck to the front of the restaurant offers a cute
area for dining or enjoying a glass of wine. A rowing
boat and palm trees ?nish off the frontage, helping to
remind our patrons of holidays in the sun.
Specialising in seafood and traditional Portuguese
specialities, Villa Moura is rated as one of the best
Portuguese restaurants in the country. It only takes one
visit to see why. Punching above its weight in terms of
quality of food and service, Villa Moura has a
reputation for serving up some truly great dishes.
Our wine list is comprehensive, with a well rounded
selection of Portuguese wines in addition to the ?nest
selection of other wines from around the world. Our
front of house staff have are happy to recommend the
perfect accompaniment to your meal.
Working with local suppliers helps ensure that quality is
always our main priority. Traditional Portuguese
ingredients are obtained through a few trusted
Portuguese importers to ensure that our dishes are as
authentic as possible.
Owing to the boutique atmosphere Villa Moura is the
perfect place for a night out with that special someone,
a special celebration, or when you just have to have
some good, gutsy food! The restaurant is extremely
popular on Valentine’s Day, Christmas Day and New
Year’s Eve, with our chefs raising the culinary bar to
ever higher heights with their seasonal menus.
The menu features a few Portuguese classics such as
calamaris and skate wing with butter and capers, to
more contemporary dishes such as cod with black
olive tapanade and sundried tomato salsa, or salmon
steak served with a Licor Beirao sauce. Several of our
dishes also feature our chef’s infamous home-made
piri piri sauce, which tastes great on tender baby squid
with choricho, juicy grilled king prawns or ?ame-grilled
poussin.
