THE FLYING HORSE INN The Flying Horse Inn at Boughton Lees overlooks a cricket green where local enthusiasts have played the game for over two centuries and is a traditional country pub with all the features you’d expect: Sunday roasts, a lo g ?re, beams in the ceiling, garlands of hops and a long bar that invites you to perch on a stool and join in the conversation. We, the landlords, Nicola and Paul, were born and raised locally. It’s important to us to be part of our village community. As the only outlet in the village, we run a small shop supplying day-to-day essentials. Please come and visit us – we promise you a warm welcome. The restaurant has two inglenook ?replaces facing each other. Our back bar, which opens onto the patio and garden, contains two glass-topped, illuminated wells dating back to the ?fteenth century. We take pride in buying from local suppliers and we are a member of Produced in Kent, and also have Kent Breakfast accreditation (served Saturday & Sunday mornings) Our meats, for example, come from the award-winning Butcher of Brogdale. We look to Perry Court Farm Shop and other local growers for fruit and vegetables and to Cheesemakers of Canterbury for (obviously) cheese, ?sh from Griggs of Hythe. Our next-door neighbours, Eastwell Park Farm, supply fresh game, including pheasant, pigeon and venison. Our Sunday Roasts are 1 course for £8.95, 2 courses for £ 10.95, 3 courses for £12.95 and always include Roast Sirloin of Kent beef.
